James “X” Lucas

FOUNDER

“X” Lucas retired from Corporate America in the Spring of 2019.  He worked for two Fortune 500 Companies (Fruit of the Loom and IBM); one medium sized company and one small company.  Most of his career was spent in the healthcare industry where he learned a great deal about business; the United States healthcare system and human nature.

 After 36 years in business, X decided to pursue a lifelong passion dedicated to American History: specifically, The US Constitution.  He noticed most Americans have little familiarity with one of the most important documents ever written.  The Constitution is constantly referenced by politicians and media representatives, but few really seem to know and understand the foundation of the US Government as an example to the world.

In April 2019, X started The Institute for American Studies (IFAS) in Nashville, TN. The goal is to bring TO THE PEOPLE a document created FOR THE PEOPLE.  IFAS will teach classes on The US Constitution in Middle TN in 2020, in the Nashville Metro market in 2021, and throughout the US in 2022 and beyond.  

 X holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from The University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University.
